EU funded public health research – what worked, what now and where next
An expert group set up by the European Commission in 2012 looked at the impacts, challenges and limitations of past and current programmes. They issued a report in March 2013 recommending four future thematic research priorities covering 2014 to 2020, making some big statements on what more the EU can do to solve the major societal challenges in public health.
